How We Took Saqib From a Problem in His Head to 600+ Paying Waitlist Signups in 90 Days

No product. No tech team. No brand. Just a founder who saw a broken hiring market — and the capital to fix a tiny, expensive piece of it.

The story, in Muhammad's own words.

Muhammad Saqib speaks about founding and building CareerMatch, in his own words.

The problem

Hiring the Wrong Person Costs Companies $50,000+. Nobody Was Solving the Matching Problem Properly.

Saqib had watched companies waste months and hundreds of thousands of dollars hiring the wrong people. The root cause was always the same — resumes didn't tell the real story, and job descriptions didn't either. The match was broken from the first step.

He believed AI could fix this. Not the whole hiring process — just the matching. That tiny piece. The piece nobody had nailed yet.

He came to Devenest with that conviction, capital ready, and zero technical background. That was enough.

Day one

What Saqib Had When He First Contacted Us

01

No Product

Zero. No MVP, no prototype, no wireframe. Just the problem clearly articulated in his head.

02

No Technical Background

Saqib had never built software. He couldn't code, didn't know what a tech stack was, and had never hired a developer.

03

A Real Problem & Capital

He had identified a genuinely expensive, widespread problem. And he had the capital to build the solution. That's all we needed.

Our engagement

The Exact Work We Did — From Discovery to Launch

01

Week 1–2

Market Validation & Scoping

Before writing a single line of code, we validated the problem. We interviewed potential users, analyzed competitors, identified the exact underserved gap in the market, and scoped a focused v1 product that could launch fast and prove demand without over-engineering.

Deliverable: Validated product brief, feature scope, go-to-market angle.

02

Week 2–4

Product Architecture & Design

We designed the full product experience — every screen, every user flow, every interaction. The goal was a product that felt premium from day one, reduced friction at every step, and made the AI capability feel like magic without complexity.

Deliverable: Complete UI/UX design, user flow maps, design system.

03

Week 4–10

Full SaaS Development

End-to-end development of CareerMatch — AI resume analysis engine, job matching algorithm, user dashboard, admin panel, and complete backend infrastructure. Built to scale from day one.

Deliverable: Production-ready SaaS application, fully tested.

04

Week 8–10

Conversion-Optimized Landing Page

We built a landing page with one job: convert visitors into waitlist signups. Headline, subheadline, social proof, benefit framing, objection handling, and a single CTA — all engineered around the psychology of Saqib's target audience.

Deliverable: Live landing page, Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, A/B test setup.

05

Week 10–12

Waitlist Launch & Funnel Activation

We activated the full launch funnel — email sequences, social proof loop, referral mechanic, and paid traffic setup. The waitlist hit 600+ signups before the product was even publicly available.

Deliverable: Live waitlist funnel, 600+ verified signups, email nurture sequence.

“I came with a problem and capital. Devenest turned it into a business. I didn't write a single line of code — I didn't need to.”

Evidence & product

CareerMatch Is Live. It's Converting. It's Saqib's.

This isn't a mockup. This isn't a demo. CareerMatch is a live, functioning SaaS product with real users — built entirely by Devenest for a founder who had never built software before.
